About: The course provides the history of dyslexia and identifies characteristics of this disorder. The latest brain and genetic research on dyslexia is presented by the instructor as well as research findings by participants. Students will become familiar with theory, instructional practices, language development processes, program structure and terminology associated with dyslexia. Reading systems are identified that best suits the students with this reading disability as well as effective classroom accommodations.
