AmeriCorps is a full time National Service opportunity for enthusiastic people who want to gain full-time real world experience in your field of interest and make a difference in communities of need.
Members receive a modest living allowance, increased for the upcoming term, and an educational award that can be used for federal student loans or future education expenses. Other benefits include healthcare, child care assistance, service-related budgets, and networking and training opportunities.
Open to everyone, you do not need to be a current student. This session will focus on local programs, but there are opportunities in all states! Position placements include nonprofit organizations, agencies, schools, and community based-programs.
This virtual info session will entail a panel discussion with Q & A.
Panelists include members from: Ohio University Environmental Studies Program at the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, Ohio University Center for Campus and Community Engagement, Rural Action, Ohio University AmeriCorps program, COMCorps, Community Food Initiatives, Ohio History Service Corps, Lancaster Community Development
