Add to calendarDr. Ryan L. Fogt, Coordinator of the Sustainable Administration Hub, will lead this seminar titled "The Increased Urgency of Climate Action: What is Ohio University Doing?". Elaine Goetz, Director of Energy Management and Sustainability, and Ellen Gill-Franks and Sarah Ladipo, Student Trustees on the Ohio University Board of Trustees, will be speaking as well. This talk will present the latest findings from the IPCC 6th Assessment Report, Working Group 1, and the current state of commitments to climate action using the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) from the Paris Climate Agreement. Dr. Goetz will discuss how the university monitors its greenhouse gas emissions and its plan to become carbon neutral by 2050. Ellen and Sarah will discuss high-level administrative action, which includes the President’s climate commitments through groups like We are Still In and Second Nature.
