The Ohio University Alumni Association is excited to welcome you to the next installment in our virtual series, Women in Leadership.

This session focuses on Cassie Thompson, a Ph.D. candidate at Ohio University who is studying amphibian responses to climate change. Thompson's research is an example of how the University prepares students to become future leaders and researchers in the STEM field. Join us to learn more about her fascinating work!

Biography

Cassie Thompson's current research focuses on assessing how environmental factors such as shorter hydro-periods and higher temperatures experienced during development affect the fitness of wood frogs and American toads throughout an entire annual cycle. Thompson's project, "Pesticides: The Good, The Bad, The Frogs.", received first place in Ohio University's 2021 Three-Minute Thesis competition. 

Women in Leadership
The Women in Leadership series highlights women from different industries who have demonstrated success in their fields. Learn from these professionals how they got where they are, the strengths they leveraged, the challenges they overcame and the vision they have for the future of the industry. There will be time for Q&A during the session as well as additional opportunities to network after the event. This series will run from September 2021 to February 2022 and highlight five different industries.
