The two-hour workshop aims to help world language educators have a better understanding of the cause, legitimation, and implications of the movement, and engage them on their own attitudes on BLM and becoming an anti-racist educator. The participants will have opportunities to reflect on their teaching pedagogy, connect and work with their peers in implementing a teaching plan in small group discussions. The workshop will be divided into four parts: Acknowledging BLM, Anti-Racism, Allyship and Action.

This event is hosted by the World Languages Program, Center for International Studies (CIS), Ohio University. The event is part of the new CIS initiative to support the Black Lives Matter movement. The event is open for all language educators who want to implement their activism in teaching. Please fill out the  form . The materials and the zoom link will be sent to you.
