IHS 2210 - Introduction to Global Health


Provides a broad overview of global patterns of disease and the factors that influence health. Students learn about different health systems and regional health indicators. In doing so, the course exposes students to issues relating to social, cultural, and environmental determinants of health.

  • Understand patterns of health disparities in various societal and cultural settings.
  • Understand similarities and differences in health and disease across cultures and environments.
