ANTH 4730 - Human Evolution
This course explores issues surrounding the evolution of humans, human ancestors, and their close relatives, focusing on how selective pressures have shaped the evolution of hominins.
Requisites: (ANTH 1010 and 2010 and 2020) and (12 credit hours in ANTH) and (Jr or Sr)

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to explain evolution and how it has led to where we humans are today.
- Students will be able to describe the fossil record for non-human primates.
- Students will be able to recognize different hominin species and identify the traits that define them.
- Students will be able to summarize the major questions in paleoanthropology and contrast different hypotheses.
- Students will be able to synthesize a research paper on one major issue in paleoanthropology.
- Students will be able to critically examine and reflect upon hypotheses from various lines of evidence.
