DANC 4800 - Senior Capstone

• Choreograph and produce a solo and a group work demonstrating a more sophisticated grasp of choreographic, performance, and production concepts than at the time of their entrance into our program.
• Create a sample project for presentation folio.
• Define personal/professional goals.
• Develop basic written materials for future use in marketing (resumes, personal statement, etc.).
• Identify skill sets and experiences for resume and other marketing materials.
• Research and determine specific components of and steps necessary for goals.
• Select and/or plan support materials for final folio (videos, etc.).
• Students will demonstrate ability to constructively evaluate/assess their own and others’ choreography and performance.
• Students will demonstrate ability to effectively communicate their artistic aesthetic, process, research, and creative methods through speech and writing.
• Students will learn the skills necessary to produce a concert, including publicity and advertising, organizational skills, and cooperative work habits.
