HLTH 2250 - Long-Term Care Administration I


Present laws, regulations, and standards that impact long-term care facilities management. Covers client rights and responsibilities and their implications in managing such facilities. Stresses ethical and moral issues confronting manager. Reviews risk management and strategies for providing a safe and comfortable environment.

  • Students will demonstrate knowledge in how the regulations are integrated into daily operations.
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators Regulations for the State of Ohio.
  • Students will demonstrate what Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires through Federal Regulation of Nursing Facilities.
  • Students will describe how, as Administrators, to recognize quality of care provided in their facility.
