ETM 4830 - Safety Management
Study of organized industrial safety programs, including historical and social perspectives and the responsibilities of management to provide a safe work environment..
Requisites: BUSL 2550 and ETM 2180 and 3620 and advanced standing in ETM
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

Learning Outcomes:
- Design a system for hazard detection and monitoring.
- Understand accident prevention protocol and how it is applied in a work environment.
- Understand the cause and effect relationships between work situations and accidents.
- Understand the components of a comprehensive safety program.
- Understand the various regulatory agencies that oversee American safety laws and regulations including OSHA, NRC, etc.
