LING 4830 - Assessing Language Abilities
Evaluation and writing of language test items appropriate for measuring global competency and competency in specific skill areas. Entry and exit testing for public school ESL programs also discussed.
Requisites: (LING 3500 and 4800) or concurrent
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will understand the basic tenets of testing design.
