LPA 4020 - Advanced Research Methods in Leadership and Public Affairs
Builds upon LPA 4010 by providing students with a firm grasp of the basic statistical tools and techniques necessary for program evaluation and policy analysis.
Requisites: LPA 4010
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrated ability to utilize a statistical software package for database development, graphical displays, and statistical analysis.
- Grasp the strengths and weaknesses of quantitative research designs (including, but not limited to, experimental and quasi-experimental designs).
- Understand the essence of measurement issues common to all quantitative methods.
- Understand when and how to utilize particular descriptive and inferential statistics.
