PETE 3100 - Principles, Theories and Methods of Teaching Early Childhood Physical Education


This course is designed to refine the teaching methodology of pre-service teachers in physical education at the early childhood and elementary level. Pre-service teachers learn best teaching practices, principles and theories for planning, instruction, and assessment. Knowledge is applied within clinical placements under the supervision of clinical educators and mentor teachers. Pre-service teachers analyze teaching effectiveness through reflective practices and clinical evaluations.

Requisites: C or better in (PETE 2330)
Credit Hours: 5
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture, 4.0 laboratory
