THAI 3120 - Advanced Thai II


Culture based approach to increased language proficiency. Students continue to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills as they study diverse history and customs of Thai speakers.

Requisites: THAI 3110
Credit Hours: 3

Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

Learning Outcomes:  
  • : The student will be able to understand, recognize and differentiate various forms of written and spoken Thai and identify different formats of written texts.
  • The student will be able to apply vocabulary, idioms and sentence patterns that they have learned to produce their own texts, including a speech, a survey, a summary, a reflection and presentation.
  • The student will develop a deeper understanding of Thailand’s history, culture, and contemporary social and economic problems.
