HLTH 3850 - Quality Improvement in Healthcare Organizations


This course focuses on the history of quality and quality improvement in U.S. healthcare organizations, quality improvement models (e.g. continuous quality improvement, six sigma, lean, and total quality management), and the impact of these models on health quality and patient outcomes in the U.S. This course also compares quality and quality improvement initiatives in the U.S. to other countries by analyzing successes and failures, policies, reimbursement methodologies, and population health statistics.
