ENGT 2250 - Programmable Logic Controllers II and Motor Controls


Provides basic principles of single-phase motors, three-phase motors, and variable frequency AC drives. Provides real-world control methods of interfacing basic PLC programming to industrial manufacturing applications consisting of timer instructions, counter instructions and event sequencing.

Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

  • Students will be able to design PLC programs using timer instructions.
  • Students will be able to design PLC programs using counter instructions.
  • Students will be able to design continuous cycle reciprocating PLC program.
