LET 4520 - Contemporary Issues in Criminal Justice Personnel Management


The purpose of this course is to examine contemporary evidence based practices in criminal justice personnel management critical to the success and development of today’s criminal justice practitioners. Through case studies and review of theoretical articles from the literature, students develop a foundational knowledge of personnel management principles, processes and strategies as they apply to the unique context of today’s criminal justice organizations.

Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

  • Students will be able to compare and contrast effective team building strategies.
  • Students will be able to write a critical review of a contemporary leadership theory.
