THAR 1393 - Fundamentals of Costume and Scenic Design Principles and Technology Practices


This course is an introduction to the skills, techniques, terminology, rationale, and safety practices of designing and creating theatrical scenery and costumes

Requisites: WARNING: No credit if taken after THAR 1390 or 1391
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 tutorial, 4.0 studio, 1.0 lecture

Learning Outcomes:
  • The student will be able to compare and contrast costume and scenic design and technology and how they work together in the theater
