MUS 3749 - English and International Phonetic Alphabet for Singers
This course focuses on the fundamentals of IPA for singers, English diction, phonology and grammar for singing.
Credit Hours: 1
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 laboratory

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to implement proper formation of English for a given vocal register.
- Students will be able to use correct diction and prosody in singing an English text.
- Students will be able to read and create basic IPA transcriptions for singing in any language.
