POLS 4810 - Politics and Comics

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the many political questions and themes that are explored in the medium of comics. The course begins by presenting the case for considering pop culture when studying politics, moves on to a general overview of comics as a medium, and narrows in on the subject at hand by providing a broad introduction to comics from the 20th century onward.
