NRSE 3202 - Professional Essentials and Applications of Clinical Judgment V


Symptoms of moral distress, compassion fatigue, and burnout in healthcare workers are examined. Self-care behaviors that promote wellness and resiliency are identified. The scope and nature of workplace violence will be discussed. Identification of policies that reduce workplace violence and injury are reviewed. Resources for healthcare workers who have experienced trauma, loss and/or grief in the workplace are identified. Clinical reasoning and clinical judgment will be utilized as they relate to the content.

  • Students will be able to apply clinical reasoning and clinical judgment as it relates to content delivered in pre- and co-requisite nursing courses.
