NRSE 2202 - Professional Essentials and Applications of Clinical Judgment III


Quality improvement principles and national client safety standards and guidelines are discussed. Quality improvement models, tools, programs, and databases are introduced. Healthcare practices are assessed and identified factors that contribute to medical errors and impact client safety. Examine basic safety design principles to reduce the risk of harm. Apply quality improvement processes to client safety scenarios. Clinical reasoning and clinical judgment will be utilized as they relate to the content.

Requisites: NRSE 2102, 2112, 2122, and 2132
Credit Hours: 2
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
