FILM 3620 - Crewing Practicum II


Students work in crew positions on film productions of MFA students’ thesis films. Productions mirror real film productions in terms of the number of crew roles and responsibilities for those roles. Students have the opportunity to master a new set of filmmaking skills by adopting different crew roles from prior crewing practicums.

Requisites: FILM 2060
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 6.0 laboratory
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to master specific crew positions.
  • Students will be able to assist the film production process across several positions and skills.
  • Students will be able to assess and respond to the specific needs and unique issues that arise during a production shoot.
