Explores human biological variation including morphology, genetics, physiology, demography and behavior through an evolutionary lens.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to explain how humans vary due to age, sex, environmental selection pressures due to latitudinal and attitudinal differences, and other variations within an evolutionary framework.
- Students will be able to critically analyze and evaluate various anthropological theories and methodologies used to study human biological variation.
- Students will be able to explain how the study of human biological variation contributes to our understanding of the interplay of biology and culture.
- Students will be able to discuss the historical context of the development of the biological concept of race.
- Students will be able to conduct original research and communicate their findings in written and oral formats.
