DANC 3280 - Dance Repertory


This course involves the rehearsal and performance of choreographic works taught by choreographers or reconstructors of historical dances. Students participate actively in the rehearsal process and perform in a public dance concert.

Requisites: DANC majors and audition
Credit Hours: 1 - 2

Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 12.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 6.0 studio

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to demonstrate collegiality in creative process of new choreography.
  • Students will be able to demonstrate professional standards of practice in rehearsal and performance.
  • Students will be able to adapt skills, abilities, and methodologies from studio dance courses to rehearsal and performance situations.
  • Students will be able to perform original and/or reconstructed dance works in effective ways.
  • Students will demonstrate a developing sense of self as a dance artist and build on prior experience to respond to new and challenging contexts.
  • Students will be able to communicate in ways that enhance meaning of choreographic work.
