HIST 4742 - The Cold War: a Global History


This course examines international problems of peace and war on worldwide scale since World War II, with a focus on international organizations and alliances. Topics include global balance of power and ideologies, nuclear weapons, strategy and diplomacy, economics, and postcolonial states and societies as well as representations of the Cold War in film, art, and literature.
