HLTH 4910 - Internship in Health Services Administration
Provides an administrative/programmatic experience under the direct supervision of an administrator in a health-related organization. Students complete supervised projects, and other administrative tasks under the joint supervision of a health care facility administrator and a program faculty member. This course meets the requirement of Bridges: Learning and Doing under BRICKS General Education.
Requisites: Permission Required and Jr or Sr and (HLTH 3160, HLTH 4210, and HLTH 4585)
Credit Hours: 4 - 6

Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

- Students will be able to describe how health administrators interact with other employees in a specific health-related organization and apply relevant approaches within the organization.

- Students will be able to connect the programmatic responsibilities of a health administrator in a specific health-related organization with their academic training.
- Students will be able to reflect on and communicate their learning in a format that integrates various aspects of the internship experience.
