THAR 4390 - Creating the Realized Design/Main Stage Process


This is a capstone course for Theater Design majors. Students research primary and secondary texts to create a design concept for a specific production. Emphasis is placed on the historical and cultural context of the primary dramatic work. Students conduct preliminary research and revise designs through a collaborative process. Utilizing current technology, students give multiple presentations for the creative team. Overall, students usher the design from its initial stages to a realized design for a live theatrical production.

Requisites: THAR 2390 and Permission Required
Credit Hours: 3
OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Speaking and Listening, Capstone: Capstone or Culminating Experience
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 12.0 hours.
