PETE 4910 - Internship in Physical Activity and Sport Coaching
This course is designed to provide students with a supervised experience in a professional physical activity and sport coaching organization/agency. This course is taken concurrently with the seminar course (i.e., PETE 4960).
Requisites: Sr and Physical Activity and Sport Coaching major and PETE 4960 concurrent

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to articulate how their internship relates to their professional goals.
- Students will be able to compile selected work over the course of the internship that will be used for assessing performance and professional progress (eg. weekly journal entry & portfolio).
- Students will be able to create and organize physical activity programs specific to their professional goals.
- Students will be able to describe and perform professional behaviors as it relates to their internship site.
- Students will be demonstrate writing and presentation skills at the internship workplace.
- Students will engage in full-time continuing experience in one appropriate professional physical activity and sport coaching organizations/agency for at least 40 contact hours per week over an extended period of time, not less than 15 weeks.
