CAS 4910 - College of Arts and Sciences Internship
The College of Arts and Sciences internship course allows students to gain credit while immersed in a company/agency/organization related to their field of study for the purpose of applying classroom learning and exploring career opportunities. The internship experience varies according to the interests of the students and the needs of the sponsoring organization.
Requisites: Enrollment in a College of Arts and Sciences program and conducting a pre-approved internship.
Credit Hours: 1 - 4

Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 12.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 internship
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to connect professional experience and their academic knowledge in one or more of the College of Arts and Sciences disciplines.
- Students will be able to see and make connections across the College of Arts and Sciences disciplines and perspectives, and apply these connections to their work experience.
- Students will be able to adapt and apply skills, abilities, theories, or methodologies gained in their College of Arts and Sciences academic major(s) to problem solving in real world.
- Students will be able to convey their professional experience using a format, language, or visual representation in ways that enhance meaning.
- Students will be able to demonstrate a developing sense of self as a learner and reflect on how the professional experience prepared them for future challenges.
- Students will be able to identify career opportunities that will enable them to apply their practical skills gained from the internship experience.
