Program Overview
The environmental health science minor is particularly appropriate to science majors, such as biological sciences and chemistry, but other majors such as communications, social sciences, and plant science may also fit in well with this offering. Industrial hygiene majors are not eligible for the environmental health science minor. The overall purpose of the environmental health science minor is to enhance the practical application of the student’s primary degree. A total of six courses are required for the minor, three of which are required and three of which are elective.

Complete the following courses:
- EH 2000 - Introduction to Environmental Health and Safety Credit Hours: 3.0
- HLTH 2000 - Introduction to Public Health Credit Hours: 3.0
- OHS 2000 - Essentials of Occupational Hygiene and Professions Credit Hours: 3.0
Elective Courses
Complete three of the following courses:
- EH 3100 - Air, Waters and Wastes Credit Hours: 3.0
- EH 3200 - Health and the Built Environment Credit Hours: 3.0
- EH 3300 - Food Quality and Vector Control Credit Hours: 3.0
