Program Overview
The minor in geological sciences provides students the opportunity to develop a moderate level of specialization in geological sciences.
Admissions Information
Freshman/First-Year Admission
No requirements beyond University admission requirements.
Change of Program Policy
No selective or limited admission requirements.
External Transfer Admission
No requirements beyond University admission requirements.
Opportunities Upon Graduation
The geological sciences minor can provide a degree of breadth to students majoring in fields that have needs for some geological training as part of a career in fields such as environmental science, governmental science positions, and a variety of environmental careers ranging from direct scientific investigation from a non-geological science field that requires some geological knowledge to a more politically-based career that requires the same knowledge.
