Program Overview
The IE minor trains its participants in the design and management of systems and processes to achieve productivity and quality. The students will learn relevant skills for their careers. Beyond the benefit to students of gaining relevant knowledge for their careers, participating in the IE Minor will also provide students with a unique interdisciplinary experience. Currently, there are very few engineering courses beyond the second year in which students from different majors are present. Almost all of the 4000-level courses listed as options in the IE Minor require a group project as part of the class requirements. Having multidisciplinary teams on these projects will make them a more beneficial learning experience for both the ISE and non-ISE students in the courses.
