Program Overview
The minor in applied nutrition is designed for students interested in strengthening their knowledge of nutrition principles and applications. After completing the minor, students will possess basic nutrition knowledge to help others identify reliable sources of nutrition information.

No requirements beyond University admission requirements.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
After completing the minor, students will possess basic nutrition knowledge to help others identify reliable sources of nutrition information. This minor will complement those pursuing careers in health sciences and professions, medicine, environmental studies, hospitality management, health communication, journalism, and many other fields of study.
Requirements
Minor Requirements
The applied nutrition minor requires a minimum of 20 credit hours. Students must complete at least 12 hours in nutrition; NUTR 3000 is required. In addition, students must complete at least 8 hours in supporting sciences courses.
