Program Overview

The minor in health services administration provides students with an overview of the health administrative field and its professional environment so that individuals can be successful in their chosen career path. The five health services administration courses provide an industry overview with the opportunity to use elective courses to focus on key areas of interest (e.g., marketing, human resources, or finance). The minor compliments students majoring in other disciplines but have an interest in the health services administration. Health Services Administration majors are not eligible for the Health Services Administration minor.

Opportunities Upon Graduation

Students with a minor in health services administration may be considered for job opportunities in a wide variety of entry level administrative, general staff, and other non-clinical positions in a variety of sectors within the health care industry.
