Description
Every Wi-Fi capable device includes a unique network identifier called a MAC Address. You will need this address to connect your device to the University Wi-Fi. We have included typical steps below for finding the WiFi/WLAN MAC Address of many common devices. If your device is not listed, check your manufacturer's website.

Amazon Echo/Alexa

From the Alexa app, click on gear icon at bottom.

Select your device.

Scroll to bottom of the page and view MAC Address.

Brand new devices

If your Fire Stick is brand new, it may attempt to connect to our Guest network when you first turn it on.

Press your remote's back button to return to the "preferred language" screen.

Choose your language.

When asked to choose a network, scroll to the end, and your MAC address will be the last tile.
Older devices

From FireTV home screen, Navigate to settings.

Click on System > About > Network.

Open and use the “Home” app on your device, which can be found in the app store.

Select the Icon for HomePod.

Under IP Settings, the Mac address will be listed next to Wired MAC and Wireless MAC on the right-hand side of the screen (this is also where the IP address and other information is located.)
