Overview
OMS II students on the Athens campus are required to submit an Athens Campus Clinical Education Site Assignment Process (AC-CESAP) Attestation in their HCOM student portals. Additionally, students have the opportunity to express an interest in participating in the Clinical Site Selection of Students (CSSS), submit an optional Inclusion Safety Survey, and an optional Pairs Match request. Students must complete the attestation and optional requests in their HCOM Student Portals by the deadline communicated.
This article explains how the student logs in to the HCOM Student Portal and completes the AC-CESAP Attestation and other optional requests.
Accessing the Student Portal and Logging In
The Student Portal can be accessed using the following link: https://ouhcom.my.site.com/students/
. You will use your OHIO email and password to log in.
Upon logging in, you'll land on a homepage similar to the one pictured below. From here select the " AC-CESAP " form in the AC-CESAP box.
AC-CESAP Attestation
An Attestation is required to ensure students have read and understand the current AC-CESAP guidelines and timeline. A document explaining this process is available to view/download directly from the student portal. To access it click the link highlighted below.
Once the guidelines have been reviewed, check the check-box to proceed to the next step.
AC-CESAP Clinical Site Selection of Students (Optional)
Students that wish to participate in the AC-CESAP Clinical Site Selection of Students (CSSS), may check the box for consideration. Then, select the site that you wish to be considered for. A Statement of Interest is required in order to be considered for CSSS. One additional supporting document can be uploaded (not required).
AC-CESAP Inclusion-Safety Survey (Optional)
Students from a marginalized background will be able to indicate inclusivity concerns around clinical site placements through a survey offered in conjunction with the Office of Inclusion. Complete the survey by following the link provided in your portal by the stated deadline.
AC-CESAP Pairs Match (Optional)
Any two HCOM students can request to be matched together. To be considered, both students must fill out the request and submit the name of the person they'd like to be matched with. Pairs requests take precedent over all other individual requests or assignment considerations.
Submit
Students are able to return to this page and make changes at anytime until the deadline passes. To save any changes made on the page, be sure to scroll to the bottom and click 'Submit'. Once the deadline passes, this page will be "read only" and changes will not be accepted.
