Navigating grade center on a mobile device in Blackboard Original

Description

Users are unable to navigate grade center in Safari on an iPad or iPhone.  

Environment

iOS, Safari

Solution 

  1. In the Safari mobile browser iPad app, log into Blackboard 

  2. Open a course and navigate to the full Grade Center view 

  3. Find the page title, "Grade Center: Full Grade Center," at the top of the screen and click the menu icon (gray circle with "v") at right 

  4. Select "Turn Screen Reader Mode on" 

  5. When the page reloads, the title should include "Screen Reader Mode Active" and a menu icon (gray circle with "v") should appear next to each column name, as well as within each grade cell 

Outcome: Once Screen Reader Mode is active, you can navigate left, right and up, down by swiping your finger across the screen while inside the box with the columns (swiping does not function outside of the grade display area). The column and grade cell menus are also accessible while in Screen Reader Mode.
