Description

Users receive an error in Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, and Creative Cloud when attempting to download images the user has generated using generative AI.

Environment

Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, Creative Cloud 

Solution 

Generative AI features do not work for users logged in to computers with a Shared Device License. Users with a Shared Device License will receive the error message below, directing them to contact their administrator.

Message text reads: “Your ability to download generated assets is blocked. Please contact your administrator.”

  1.  If an OHIO employee receives this error, they should contact the OIT service desk .   

  2. Students should reach out to their academic unit to inquire about obtaining access to a Named User License, which is determined by the student’s college or department.   

Outcome:OHIO employees and students should now understand why they are receiving the error message related to generative AI image downloads and their next steps for resolving the issue.
