Access

• Windows

  • Centrally managed (devices that require OHIO login): Follow the directions for how to install software on OHIO computers (opens in a new window) , and search for NVivo.

  • Unmanaged (devices that do not require OHIO login, such as personal computers):Download  NVivo 20 for Windows .

• Mac

  • Centrally managed (devices that require OHIO login):Follow the directions for how to install software on OHIO computers (opens in a new window) , and search for NVivo.

  • Unmanaged (devices that do not  require OHIO login, such as personal computers): Download  NVivo 20 Mac for 2024.

    • Double click the ZIP file and double-click the installer to install the application.

    • If you receive an error message that the installer is not trusted, hold down the <Control> key, click the installer package and select "Open" from the menu that appears.

• Computer labs via Virtual Desktop

How to request access

• Computer Labs: Contact the IT Service Desk to request NVivo access in your lab's virtual desktop environment.

• Students, faculty, and staff can access NVivo through the Virtual Desktop (VDI) without contacting IT.
