Instructional Technology Services employs a consultative approach in the selection and optimal use of available academic technology tools. We also specialize in the creation of custom learning content using a variety of tools and media to promote engaging and effective teaching environments.
Our Instructional Technologists also offer LMS consultations, providing guidance on migrating course materials from Blackboard to Canvas, or general course maintenance.
We're dedicated to partnering with faculty and staff to explore new teaching and learning technologies that align with learning outcomes and facilitate an engaging learning experience for students.
Who can access
- Instructional Technology support is available to all OHIO faculty and staff. There is no cost to use our consultation or media production services.

Instructional Technology Consultations
Schedule a consultation
with an Instructional Technologist to get help with:
- Content creation– Want to create a course introduction video, record a lab demonstration, or film a guest speaker? How about recording narration or voice-overs for your course content? Bring your ideas to us! Meet with an Instructional Technologist to discuss your needs and make a plan.
- Course support– Get help changing, managing, or updating materials for your online courses in Blackboard or Canvas.
- General help– Meet with an Instructional Technologist for answers about Blackboard, Canvas, Panopto, Qualtrics, TopHat, and VoiceThread.
- Project brainstorming – Are you interested in custom apps and other content for your course? Bring your ideas to an Instructional Technologist and see if we can bring them to life.
- Tool evaluation and selection– Explore which available tools may be best suited for your instructional needs. Compare and contrast tools with an expert to find the tool that is right for you.
