Switching Extension Legs

1. Run current to zero and turn power to quad(s) off if needed.
2. Turn power to leg selection panel on (white lights will come on) if not already on.
3. Push button to select leg.
4. Turn power off (interlock light for beam line will change to leg selected).
5. Turn power on again.
6. Turn quad supply on (switch on right that says “lens power/off”).
7. You can now operate quad(s) for selected line.
8. NOTE Quad 4 selection between the R-23 and R-45 beamlines is NOT done by leg selector panel; this is controlled by a switch in the large target room.

NOTE: Always turn quad power off before attempting to switch legs. Switching magnet polarty must be done in a separate operation.
