St. Clairsville, Ohio – Danica Haverty, Ohio University graduate, joined the staff at OHIO Eastern in the role of Regional Recruitment Manager this month.
In her position, Haverty will work as a member of Ohio University’s Undergraduate Admissions team to initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with constituents within the territory, including prospective students and their families, secondary and postsecondary personnel, community-based organizations, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.
“Ohio University Eastern, is where I went to school and this campus has always held a special place in my heart,” said Haverty. “Ohio University has given me so many opportunities and experiences. In my new role, I want to show our community how OHIO Eastern can do the same for them.”
Haverty completed a Bachelor of Health Services Administration degree from Ohio University Eastern and a Master of Public Administration degree from West Virginia University.
“Ohio University Eastern is the hidden gem in the Ohio Valley. Haverty invested in the OHIO Eastern campus and community during her time as a student, serving as a Bobcat Ambassador, a student worker, and a member of the Rotary Club, and was selected as the student speaker for the 2017 graduation recognition ceremony.
“It’s okay to change your mind and not know your career path right away” Haverty said. “I didn’t officially decide on my major until I was a junior. OHIO Eastern helped me find my career path and it is the perfect place to help undecided students discover their own interests and passions.”
