- As Communication Manager at the British Embassy during turbulent times (COVID-19 pandemic and the 2021 military coup), he leveraged his storytelling expertise to share narratives of resilience and hope.
- In 2023, he joined the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA )emergency response team for Cyclone Mocha. He played an important role in advocating for urgent humanitarian aid and recovery for over half a million people, including the Rohingya community. His contributions included timely updates, visual documentation, and strategic media engagement.
Driven by a desire to create better communication platforms in Myanmar, Kaung Latt is now pursuing an M.A. in Communication and Development at Ohio University.
His research interest lies in exploring the post-coup internet blackouts' impact on information access for Myanmar's activists and journalists. This reflects his commitment to understanding and overcoming communication barriers in pursuit of a more informed and empowered society.
