Concentration within the B.F.A. Studio Art Program

What You'll Learn

From hand building to wheel throwing, this program will fully equip you with the techniques and skills needed for contemporary and non-traditional approaches to ceramics. Our faculty emphasize the realization of individual goals and focus on the exploration of ideas and materials to create an atmosphere of diversity.

Career Opportunities

Students in the Ceramics concentration often find success as professional artists, enter graduate schools, or work in related art and design fields.

Admission

Students can start out as B.A. or B.F.A. Studio Art majors, or start out in the B.A. Studio Art major and then apply to enter the B.F.A. degree at a later date. There are no requirements beyond University admission requirements to become a Studio Art major.

Applying to the Ceramics Concentration

After completing the foundations program and taking four 2000-level studio art classes (two classes may be in progress during time of application), you must submit an application to the ceramics concentration.
