HR Operations Certificate Available

Professional Development Pathways (PDP) provides tools, guidance, and learning opportunities for employees and supervisors to assist in talent development and career growth. The following is a new professional development certificate available within the PDP program:

Human Resources Operations

This certificate program is designed to improve knowledge and skills associated with employee-related processes, transactions, and services. More than 20 professional development courses are included, focusing on topics such as Recruitment and Staffing, Onboarding, Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and Timekeeping, and more.

Certificate Objectives:

  • Explain planning unit, supervisor, employee, and Human Resources (HR) roles in people-related processes
  • Ensure proper completion and processing of employee information used in HR related transactions
  • Demonstrate understanding of key concepts, university policies, and best practices related to HR processes

  • OHIO Search Committee Training: Candidate Evaluation & Selection

  • NEW- Leaves of Absence
  • Individual Compensation Distribution
  • NEW- Preventing Violence & Workplace Bullying

Additional courses are being developed and will be announced as they are completed. If you have taken one or more of the existing courses in the past, your participation will count toward badging and certificate completion.
