“This is a real mark of distinction and credit to Dr. Sandal’s reputation in the field,” said Dr. Joseph Shields, vice president for research and creative activity at Ohio University.
Dr. Lorna Jean Edmonds, director of the OHIO Center for International Studies, stated that Sandal “will provide excellent and impactful leadership to this major initiative.”
Sandal says that she is grateful for the support of the College of Arts & Sciences and the Center for International Studies. “It is not possible to take such a leadership role without strong institutional support,” she added.
