Classified Senate has named Jennifer Montgomery, administrative services associate for the nursing program at the Chillicothe campus, the Employee of the Month for June 2020.
This recognition is Classified Senate’s way of awarding those employees who have shown outstanding individual achievement and performance of their jobs, while inspiring and supporting the achievement of others.
Criteria for selection include:
- Positive attitude and serving as a role model;
- Productivity and commitment to quality;
- Initiative and taking on additional responsibilities
Montgomery was nominated by OHIO employee Mary Basham with additional details from Jonna Depugh. The following is a sample of the comments made about Montgomery in the nomination:
“Jennifer goes above and beyond her duties to ensure students and faculty are prepared for each semester. She performs her administrative duties for the nursing department, as well as serves on the graduation committee ordering regalia. She organizes all of the nursing pinning ceremonies and is willing to put in as much time as required to complete a project. Jennifer is always prepared to lend a hand or provide a laugh for students, faculty and staff.”
“She is handling all in-office requirements for the nursing department—filing, making badges, completing fingerprints for students. She is single-handedly creating and maintaining all student files. She is responsible for tracking all health documents and orientation/program required paperwork. I know this doesn't sound like much, but with so many things being done electronically, she has had to step up and coordinate the submission of all these forms from students as well as printing them and creating paper files.”
“Jennifer became the sole administrative associate last year due to restructuring in her department. She has continued to complete her regular duties as well as has taken on the additional duties of Typhon data entry, all accreditation tracking and interview schedules for all new hires. Orientations were formerly performed in person, but with the COVID changes, she had to convert this to a virtual environment. She re-created all documents to allow electronic submission and scheduled Zoom appointments for completion.”
“Jennifer has always been an amazing worker.”
