Ohio University President Hugh Sherman has announced plans to relaunch the search for a vice president of student affairs in early 2022. This comes after Jenny Hall-Jones, Ohio University's interim vice president for student affairs, announced she will be leaving the University in January.
After failing the latest search, Sherman said the University will launch a new search during the spring semester, and a leadership transition plan will be announced as soon as possible.
Sherman also expressed his gratitude to the search committee, co-chaired by dean of the Scripps College of Communication Scott Titsworth and vice president for diversity and inclusion Gigi Secuban, for their assistance with the search. “I appreciate the time and efforts of the search committee throughout this process,” President Sherman said.
Hall-Jones, who has served in several key roles at Ohio University over the past 25 years, including the past 14 months in the interim vice president role, has announced she will join Grand Valley State University as Vice President for Student Affairs in February 2022.
“Jenny has been a strong leader and advocate for our students for almost three decades,” President Sherman said. “We are grateful for her service and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. She will be missed.”
