As part of its efforts to provide increased operational excellence and support to the campus community, the Ohio University Business Service Center (OUBSC) has announced that both the Scripps College of Communication and the Honors Tutorial College (HTC) will begin centralizing many of their procurement, travel and some HR efforts in partnership with OUBSC in the coming weeks.
The Scripps College recently began transitioning its procurement efforts to OUBSC, and HTC anticipates transitioning its HR and procurement efforts to OUBSC in the coming weeks. Any staff who are currently serving in a procurement or HR capacity within the Scripps College or HTC will equally transition to OUBSC, and the staff will continue to work closely with their colleges.
“I’m grateful to Provost Elizabeth Sayrs, Dean Scott Titsworth, and Interim Dean Beth Novak for helping fulfill the vision of the service center. Both colleges have excellent staff that I’m excited to work with more closely,” said Heather Krugman, executive director of the OHIO Business Service Center. “I’m thrilled to have to opportunity to work with them and share our collective knowledge to improve processes at Ohio University.”
OHIO’s Business Service Center was established to help ensure consistent, simplified, high-quality administrative services in support of the academic mission, including, for example, travel and expense reimbursement, purchase of supplies and equipment, billing, and human resources services.
